Notes

  • Strictly control the air humidity to be less than 80%. When the relative humidity is too high, water is prone to react with the curing agent of the epoxy topcoat, causing problems such as loss of gloss, floating color, white hair and mottling, and incomplete drying.

  • The construction temperature should be between 5℃ and 30℃. When the temperature is too low, the drying process will slow down, and the strength and scratch resistance of the paint film will also be affected to a certain extent.

  • When using self-leveling floor paint, stir the color paint components first and check if there is any sediment at the bottom. If there is sediment, it must be filtered through a filter screen before use.

  • The amount of self-leveling floor paint used must meet the requirements. If the amount is too little, it will affect the covering power, leveling property and the final surface effect.

  • When conducting large-scale construction, please pay attention to the edge treatment. The construction interval should not exceed 10 minutes. It is recommended to use defoaming rollers for treatment.

  • The storage temperature of the material must not be lower than 10 degrees Celsius; otherwise, there is a risk of crystallization of the topcoat. Once the topcoat crystallizes, if conditions permit on site, it should be heated and melted before use. If the crystallization is severe and the entire material is in block form, it is recommended to return it to the factory and not use it.

  • This product should not be diluted at will, otherwise it is easy to cause floating color, slow drying, affect the leveling property and gloss, and even produce various defects such as bubbles that affect the surface effect of the coating film.

  • There are certain color differences among different batches of materials. When constructing in the same area, the same batch of materials should be used. When placing multiple orders for the same project, it must be noted that the color will be adjusted according to the sample

Construction Process
Process NameSpecific Methods & RequirementsSingle Coat Consumption (kg/m²)
Substrate Treatment1. Substrate strength: Not less than C20/
2. Substrate flatness: ≤5mm when measured with a 2m ruler
3. Substrate dryness: Moisture content of substrate surface < 8%
4. Repair hollowing and cracks on the ground in advance
5. Fully grind the concrete substrate
Primer Coat1. Use WEDO-0301: Mix main paint and curing agent in proportion, stir evenly0.15
2. Roll evenly with a roller, or scrape uniformly with a trowel/iron plate
3. Use a wool brush for edges, corners and machine corners
Mid-Coat Mortar Layer1. Use WEDO-0302: Mix main paint and curing agent in proportion, stir evenly; add quartz sand (usually 80-120 mesh) at the recommended ratio (paint: quartz sand = 1: 0.2-1) and mix uniformly0.25-0.3
2. Scrape overall with a trowel; adjust the number of coats as needed
3. After curing, grind and remove dust
Putty Layer1. Use WEDO-0303: Mix main paint and curing agent in proportion, stir evenly; add appropriate fillers (quartz powder, talc powder, etc.) at the recommended ratio (paint: powder = 1: 0.1-0.5) and mix uniformly0.1
2. Scrape evenly with a trowel; focus on filling defects like pinholes and air holes; adjust coats as needed
3. After curing, fully grind and remove dust
Topcoat Layer1. Troweling: Use WEDO-0303/WEDO-0304: Mix main paint and curing agent in proportion, stir evenly; trowel uniformly and slowly. Require uniform coating with no missed areas; defoam with a defoaming roller after troweling0303: 0.7-0.8
2. Rolling: Use WEDO-0305: Stir evenly, then roll with a roller0304:1

Construction conditions

  • Air temperature: 5℃ -30℃

  • Relative humidity < 80%

  • The moisture content of the substrate surface is less than 8%

  • The construction site should have good ventilation

  • Dew point temperature: The substrate and the substrate of the uncured coating must be at least 3℃ higher than the dew point temperature to reduce the risk of condensation or mottling of the ground coating

  • Oily floors must be thoroughly cleaned up; otherwise, it may affect the even application of the coating.
