Notes

  • Construction environment: Temperature 10-30℃, relative humidity of air 20%-80%. If the humidity is too low, water will evaporate too quickly and the reaction will not be sufficient. If the humidity is too high, it may cause water evaporation to slow down and the strength of the paint film to decrease.

  • Water-based construction tools should be used independently and must not be shared with other non-water-based construction tools.

  • There must be no standing water on the surface of water-based materials during the construction and drying process.

  • Before applying water-based primer, it is necessary to ensure that the base surface is clean and free of dust, otherwise it will affect the penetration of the water-based primer.

  • For severely sandy and dusty floors, it is recommended to use oil-based penetrating primer to fully penetrate and reinforce before applying water-based materials.

  • Use a roller to apply the primer to ensure the amount of primer used. After applying the water-based primer, there should be no obvious whitening on the base layer.

  • The stirring time for water-based products should not be less than 3 minutes. After stirring, an appropriate amount of water can be added for dilution, but the maximum amount of water added should not exceed 10%.

  • Water-based mortar construction should not be applied too thickly at one time, otherwise cracking will occur. For areas with pits, expansion joints and those requiring special treatment, water-based mortar or water-based primer mixed with a large amount of sand can be used for early repair treatment.

  • During the rainy season, construction should avoid moisture return or condensation; otherwise, water-based materials may dry slowly or even not dry at all.

  • During the transportation and storage of materials in winter, low-temperature freezing should be avoided; otherwise, freezing and crystallization may occur, and even the materials may be scrapped.

  • There are certain color differences among different batches of materials. When constructing in the same area, the same batch of materials should be used. When placing multiple orders for the same project, it must be noted that the color will be adjusted according to the sample.

Construction Process

Primer Layer 1. Use WEDO-0601 waterborne epoxy clear primer: Stir for no less than 3 minutes until uniform and fully emulsified 0.15 
2. Apply by roller coating evenly or knife coating
Mid-Coat Mortar Layer 1. Mix WEDO-B0601 waterborne epoxy curing agent with 128 resin at a ratio of 1.5:1, fully emulsify, then add 1 time the amount of water. After thorough stirring, add quartz sand (usually 80-120 mesh) at the recommended ratio: Paint:Quartz sand = 1: 0.2-1, stir evenly 0.30 
2. Scrape fully with a knife; adjust the number of coats as needed. Grind and dust off after curing
Putty Layer 1. Use WEDO-0603/WEDO-0604 waterborne epoxy matte/high-gloss topcoat: Mix in proportion, stir evenly, fully emulsify, then add appropriate fillers (heavy calcium, talc powder, etc.) at the ratio: Paint:Filler = 1: 0.1-0.5 0.3/0.2
2. Scrape evenly with a trowel, focus on repairing defects like pinholes and air pits; adjust the number of coats as needed
3. Fully grind and dust off after curing
Topcoat Layer 1. Use waterborne epoxy topcoat: Mix base paint and curing agent in proportion, stir evenly and fully emulsify High-gloss: 0.2
A: WEDO-0603 waterborne epoxy matte topcoat: Require even roller coating without missing areas Matte: 0.3
B: WEDO-0604 waterborne epoxy high-gloss topcoat: Roller coat no less than 2 times
Varnish Layer (Optional) After the topcoat layer is dry, select different varnishes to adjust the surface gloss and improve surface scratch resistance 0.10

Construction conditions
